Reports and exports

HTML reports in answers, report pages with a done box on every row, and the formats an agreed answer saves to.

HTML reports in an answer

When the room's answer is a whole HTML document, the reply shows it as a card, HTML report followed by its name, with Open and Download. It opens in a sandboxed page of its own, so it cannot reach the app around it. Reports also appear in Artifacts under Reports.

Report pages

An agreed answer that contains a table can become a page where every row has a Done box and a Note. Ticks and notes are saved for everyone with the link, which makes it useful for checklists, audit findings and migration steps.

Where to find it. Web: hover the agreed answer and press report; the button appears only when the answer has a table. iPhone: Settings → The Room → Reports lists every report you made, with how many rows are closed.

How to use it.

  1. On the agreed answer, press report. The page opens with your tables.
  2. Share its link with the people who will do the work.
  3. Each person ticks rows and adds notes. A reader who is not signed in sees "Sign in to tick rows off".

What changes. As the owner you get Open the discussion and see who closed each row; others do not.

When not to use it. For a list that changes after the answer: the rows are fixed when the report is made. Ask the room again and make a new report.

Saving the agreed answer

Hover the agreed answer on the web for .md, .html, .pdf and .docx. PDF goes through your browser's print dialog; the Word file is made on the server. On the Mac and the iPhone, Copy and Share… carry the answer as Markdown.

FormatGood for
.mdA repository, a wiki, or another tool that reads Markdown
.htmlMail, or a page you host yourself
.pdfSomething to file or sign
.docxSomeone who edits in Word

The ⋯ menu's Export… saves the whole transcript as Markdown, and Download audit log saves the discussion's record as hash-chained JSON for an auditor.

Sharing a discussion

Share in the header makes a read-only link to the discussion, including what each reviewer ran. Stop sharing ends the link for good. A team policy can refuse a share, and when personal data is detected you are asked before it goes. A reader can press Continue in my account to take a copy into their own account. Shared pages and reports carry the same AI-generated line as published pages.
