Sending feedback or reporting a bug

Where the feedback door is on each app, what the report contains, and where it goes.

Every app has a door for a bug or a thought, and all three lead to the same place.

Where

  • Web: the account menu at the bottom left → Send feedback.
  • Mac: the account menu → Send Feedback….
  • iPhone: Settings → Send feedback, or a discussion's menu → Send feedback… to report about that discussion.

What is sent

Your description, which app and version you are on, and — if you tick Include the current discussion — the discussion you were looking at, as a transcript. The Mac sends its own copy of the transcript, since a desktop discussion may not have synced. The report is stored on our servers first and then mailed to [email protected], so a mail that fails to go out loses nothing; the dialog tells you whether the mail went.

Replies

Support replies by email to the address on your account. Replies do not appear in the app.

Without an account

On a Mac that is not signed in, Send Feedback opens a prefilled mail in your mail app addressed to support, with the version line already filled in. Send it from there.

What helps most

The version line from About (Settings → Workspace & Account → About on the Mac has a Copy button), what you were doing, and what you saw. If the room was involved, the receipt under the answer — how many commands ran and how many passed — tells us more than a description of the output.

Still stuck?

Open Get help in the app and send us a message, or see the support page for how to reach a person.
